St. Thomas Caremongering Group Producing 1000's of Items for Front Line Workers

On April 1st, after talking to two of her friends in healthcare, Iffat Farooqui started the Facebook group Caremongering St. Thomas - COVID-19 Volunteer Response Team, which has been gathering supplies and connecting volunteers up with those supplies to produce cloth masks, headbands, scrub caps, and other items for frontline workers.

The group has grown from the initial 3 members up to 377 members (as of this posting) and they have been working tirelessly.

Grayden chatted with Iffat so we could share the story of how this group started and what they have been working on with you.

Everyone is donating their time and supplies to this project. If anyone wants to know how they can repay the generousity, the group is asking for donations to St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank - The Caring Cupboard.

If you are able to help out with time or supplies, you can join the Facebook group, Caremongering St. Thomas - COVID-19 Volunteer Response Team.
