United Way Distributes Over $379,000 to Support Community Partners During COVID-19.
Our local branch of the United Way, United Way Elgin Middlesex, has now donated over $379,000 to support community partners during COVID-19 in less than a months time.
Last week Grayden chatted with Kelly Ziegner, CFRE, the Chief Executive Officer at United Way Elgin Middlesex to talk about Rounds 1 & 2 of the funding and how much of that had gone to agencies in Elgin and St. Thomas.
Round 1 & 2 included funding for the West Elgin Community Health Centre ($12,000), the Salvation Army – Community Alternatives for Youth ($6,000), and the YWCA St. Thomas ($20,000).
Round 3 includes funds for YMCA Southwestern Ontario ($7,500), VON Middlesex Elgin ($17,600), and Mennonite Community Services ($14,000).
